Why should I consider home-delivered meal service?

Everyone deserves to enjoy a hot meal every day. For older adults who are aging in place, cooking for themselves can be difficult. Multi-purpose senior centers in 11 counties receive funding from Legacy Link to enable these centers to deliver meals to home-bound adults 60 years and older with assistance from community volunteers.

What are the specifics of the Home-Delivered Meals program?

  • Hot meals are delivered Monday – Friday
  • Frozen meals delivered weekly may also be an option
  • Therapeutic meals (for those with diabetes) are available with a doctor’s prescription
