What are Home and Community-Based Services?

Non-Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services include a range of solutions to help older Georgians live safely, healthily, and independently in their homes and communities. HCBS is available for individuals 60 and older to assist with Basic and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (ADLs and IADLS).

What specific services are provided through HCBS?

Services vary but typically include:
  • Home delivered meals
  • Light housekeeping
  • Personal assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming
  • Caregiver respite
